Healing with Recovery Wrap
The purpose of this wrap is to collect the plasma, which is the clear part of your blood, this has healing properties such as collagen, and your wrap will fill up with liquid.
There will be small amounts of ink on the surface of your skin, and this can cause a cloudy or hazy appearance under your Recovery wrap. Do not be alarmed by this, your ink is not coming out. If you are concerned, please call us, or send us a picture.
Leave the wrap on for as long as possible. 5-7 days is ideal.
If the wrap is itching or creating heat, you can remove the wrapping and wash the area.
Feel free to contact us if you are concerned about infection or how your tattoo is healing.
Traditional Healing
Wash the tattoo with antibacterial soap and water, and pat dry with a clean towel at least three times a day.
Apply a layer of Aquaphor, coconut oil or a mild salve as needed when you have dry skin and after washing.
Avoid swimming and sun for two weeks.
Do not pick or scratch scabs.
Remember to wear sunblock.
